Perfect riding weather today. Cloudy and a little rainy.
We left Batu Pahat by 6am this morning and have had a lovely 50km ride. We found a little resort here 1.5 km down a dirt track which upon arrival to a locked gate seems to be almost totally neglected. The pool is a half empty sludge hole and all the plants are really over grown. It all seemed a little spooky but for the most lovely young Vietnamese girl who seems to be the manager and also the only other person here.
She is so kind and has just brought us a big bag of pineapple biscuits and two bowls of a really delicious Vietnamese soup.
We will be up early tomorrow morning to try and beat the heat.
Wow, the stuff of novels! A deserted resort except for a mysterious Vietnamese 'manager' - no ghosts I hope! Did you ask her the history of the place and who the owner is?
